THE DIAL

Reading the room…

How to play The Dial

  1. A card gives you a scale — Mild at one end, Spicy at the other. One player is shown a hidden spot along it.
  2. They name something that sits exactly there. Not a number, a thing.
  3. Their team moves the dial and locks it in. The other team then bets whether the real spot was left or right of the guess.

An example

The scale is Mild ↔ Spicy and the hidden spot is 62. The clue-giver says “a Chinese takeaway that says medium”. Their team argues and lands on 70 — eight away, worth 3 points. The other team bets left, which is right, and takes 1.
